We are seeking a dynamic IT Director to lead and enhance key enabling functions within our Business & Information Services (BIS) department. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of Enterprise Applications, this critical role is part of the BIS leadership team and collaborates with the CIO, other IT leaders, and business leadership across the organization. This position is integral to improving IT effectiveness and driving the value IT delivers to the enterprise through strategic initiatives supporting growth and our technology roadmap.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Budget Ownership: Develop, manage, and optimize the BIS budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and tool rationalization.
- Project Management Leadership: Oversee the project management function within BIS, directing specialized project managers and contributing to enterprise-wide project management practices.
- Process Improvement: Drive and implement innovative process improvements aligned with industry trends and standards.
- Technology Procurement: Lead technology purchasing, manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and collaborate with corporate purchasing for efficiency.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with department leaders to enhance overall BIS operations.
- Operational Leadership: Oversee critical functions, including disaster recovery processes, change management, and operational improvements.
- M&A Support: Participate in acquisition and divestiture activities, including due diligence and IT planning.
- Special Projects: Lead high-impact special projects as needed.
- Business Liaison Coordination: Serve as the BIS representative for business relationship management and audit-related activities.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain and submit regular performance reports.
- Provide performance feedback and documentation to management.
- Secure necessary materials and resources for departmental needs.
- Participate in on-call rotations and perform related duties as required.
Who You Are:
- Experienced Leader: 10–15 years of technology leadership experience, with a proven ability to operate at scale and pivot across technical and administrative domains.
- Broad IT Expertise: Hands-on experience across multiple IT areas, including project management, IT operations, and service management.
- Proven Communicator: Excellent communication skills to envision, design, and implement effective strategies.
- Process Innovator: Demonstrated ability to create pragmatic, results-driven processes.
- Customer-Focused: Strong service orientation, empathy, and ability to build trust with business stakeholders.
- IT Generalist: Broad technical skills across IT domains, with attention to detail and execution focus.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, STEM, Business, or related fields. Other degrees considered with relevant technology experience.
- Certifications: ITIL and PMP preferred; Lean/Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) a plus.
- Additional Experience: IT purchasing and contracting, department budget management, and utilities experience (preferred but not required).
